Former Morbidly Obese Executive Becomes Health Coach

Weigh to Think®, LLC is accepting clients for evening and weekend health and wellness programs. Individuals, groups, and organizations who are interested in working with an integrative health coach are welcome.
 
Weigh to Think®, LLC launched an integrative health coaching practice. The focus is on helping obese and stressed professionals optimize their health and well-being.
 
Sharon Lewis founded Weigh to Think®, LLC as a result of her own very personal experience, losing over 115 pounds through a multi-pronged approach. Her experience ignited a passion to work with those who are obese as well as those experiencing stress in their busy professional lives – two areas that she has had direct personal experience with. According to the World Health Organization, more than 1.9 billion adults were overweight in 2014 – 600 million of them were obese. Obesity is generally preventable, with lifestyle changes and supportive environments. Stress also has a major impact on both emotional and physical health.
 
Sharon completed her integrative health coach (IHC) professional and certification training at Duke Integrative Medicine, part of the Duke University Health System (http://www.dukeintegrativemedicine.org/). She holds an MBA and has had over 20 years of executive leadership experience.
 
Having spent a lifetime ranging from overweight to morbid obesity, coupled with stress from demanding professional roles, Sharon finally took it upon herself to become healthy – inside and out. “Transformation part 1” incorporated an exercise physiologist, a registered dietician, mindfulness, the gastric sleeve surgery, and a great support system. “Transformation part 2” included training at world-renowned Duke Integrative Medicine to become an Integrative Health Coach so that she could help others realize their personal optimal health and well-being and take steps toward achieving their goals for a healthier and happier lifestyle.
 
Linda Smith, Director of Educational Programs at Duke Integrative Medicine, states, “Our coaches help to make positive changes for health and well-being attainable for their clients. Our program provides them with a framework based on the science of behavior change coupled with skills that can yield long-term health and wellness benefits.”
